Dearborn's permanent art collection is housed in the Alfred Berkowitz Gallery, and the Michigan Botanical Club donated its collection of botanical specimens to the University of Michigan. This studio glass movement spread rapidly in northern Michigan and in 1982 it was decided to be the center of the studio glass center of the U-M art and design school.
