Honey Creek Community School Reviews

We struggled with public schools until I got really fed up with it and decided to homeschool my son. My son's OT recommended HC because many of her clients were so happy with the school and I am glad she did! The staff really is working with us to do what is best for our son and we have seen a lot of progress.

This school has lots of extracurriculars including swimming class weekly, Gym, art, music, and plenty of opportunities for fresh air on its beautifully treed campus. It's all new playground accomodates special needs children and able-bodied children alike. Want to be involved in a community that feels like a private school? Choose Honey Creek.

HC has an excellent academic program that is supplemented with PE, swimming, music, environmental studies, art, and academic service learning. High parent involvement is an important part of the school culture and the school has made tremendous strides in creating multiple ways for parents to connect and be involved. HC shares the school facility with High Point School, the county school for severely disabled children and the students from the two schools interact as a normal course of the daily and weekly routine. I firmly believe that most of the children enrolled at HC would be enrolled in private schools if HC was not around. HC is not very racially diverse, but it is diverse in terms of family configurations, having many traditional and non-traditional families as part of the community. HC also has an outstanding aftercare program with many clubs and activities available at very reasonable cost.
