Artist’s Statement
My passion is art and I consider myself to be an experimental artist . . .working with many mediums utilizing the effects of light with a focus on imagination.
Kathy Falls, Master of Photography, Master Artist,Master Electronic Imaging,Craftsman Photographer, , PPA Certified has been in the business of photography for over 41 years. She has won many awards nationally including the Fuji Masterpiece Award,and has exhibited at many art galleries including the prestigious Scarab Club in Detroit. She has also had many images accepted into the Professional Photographers of American International Print Competition as well as the Loan Collection and work displayed in the Asian Photographic Competition in South Korea. Kathy was named “Professional Photographers of Michigan Artist of the Year 1981, and 1991”, and “Ohio Out of State Digital Artist of the Year 2004”, and “Best of Show Digital Artist 2004", Professional Photographers of Michigan. Kathy has her work in private collections including the Monroe Public Library System, Monroe County Historical Museum, The Sawyer Homestead, and the Archives of Notre Dame,and and PPA Loan Collection Images, having her work published in many Loan Collection Books. Kathy has lectured throughout the Unites States and Canada, is in demand as an instructor, has judged on a national level, and was an instructor for Monroe County Community College.Kathy is included in “Who’s Who in America”, “Who’s Who of American Women”, and “Who’s Who in the World”. Kathy Falls owns and operates Kathy Falls Photographics, Inc. a portrait studio and art gallery located in the quaint rural community of Camden, Michigan, on the border of Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio.
